Vecova is Expanding Employment Services to Immigrant Women

Vecova is a proud recipient of the Government of Alberta’s

Women’s Economic Recovery Challenge Grant

Vecova is proud to have been selected as a recipient of the Women’s Economic Recovery Challenge Grant. This grant will allow Vecova to create its Employment Services for Immigrant Women program.   Vecova will adapt its highly successful Employment Services program, which is designed for persons with barriers to employment, to also support immigrant women in their employment journey through the use of tools, training, and individualized support.   “Vecova has extensive experience in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and are very excited about the opportunity the Government of Alberta’s grant offers us,” said Kelly Holmes-Binns, Vecova’s Chief Executive Officer. “To be able to assist immigrant women in their journey to find success in their employment, for them and their families, will help bring us one step closer to our vision of ‘Inclusion for Everyone.’”   Vecova’s Employment Services has an extensive history of working with individuals that require high levels of support to: attain workplace skills, navigate the employment process and culture, and source sustainable employment.   As a leader in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Vecova is excited to expand its programs and services to the important community of immigrant women, of whom will make real positive impacts on the Alberta economy.   The Women’s Economic Recovery Challenge Grant, through the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Alberta Jobs, Economy and Innovation, will support economic opportunities for women and girls in diverse populations across the province.   For a full list of grant recipients, click here.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/2"][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/2"][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
