Vecova’s Aquatics, Health and Fitness introduces a low intensity yoga class!

We’re excited to be able to introduce a new low intensity class – Multi-Level Yoga – to our Aquatics, Health and Fitness community! Multi-Level Yoga is a great way to discover the benefits of practicing yoga. Participants will explore yoga postures, breath awareness and relaxation techniques. The class focus is to optimize mobility in the spine, shoulders, neck and hip.

This class welcomes people in all levels and abilities. Participants are required to bring their own yoga mat and a mask must be worn at all times. This class will begin on March 11 for 8 weeks. Registration will open on March 9 at 10:00 am.

This new class is in alignment with Step 2 of the Government of Alberta’s public health measures. These measures allow Vecova to have group low intensity fitness activities that are “not focused specifically on cardio, that have a low depth and rate of respiration.”

We look forward to being able to open more opportunities for wellness soon. We will also continue to evaluate some of our programs to see what we can do to offer them safely.

In the meantime, we will continue to do our part to make our facility safe for everyone, to reduce the spread and also help everyone get back to their health and wellness routines. If you have any questions, please contact us.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][nd_options_spacer nd_options_height=”30″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Actions are being taken to protect the health and well-being of our entire community and all Albertans.

During this public health crisis, we have been touched by the kind and supportive messages we have received from the public. Dear Vecova Community,

As you might have heard, on June 9, 2020, the Government of Alberta announced that indoor recreation and fitness facilities are now part of Stage 2 of the Relaunch Strategy to begin on June 12, 2020. While we are excited to welcome you all back, we are not ready to open just yet, and we will not be opening our Aquatics, Health and Fitness facilities on June 12, 2020. Our tentative date of reopening is September 1, 2020.

We want to thank you for your patience and loyalty. We know the programs and services Vecova’s Aquatics, Health and Fitness provides are of value to the community and many of you are ready to come back. The safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community remains our top priority. We are working to update our space, our protocols and our programming to provide a safe and enjoyable experience where everyone is welcome.

[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

We also know our Vecova community is made up of kind and caring people who know how important it is for kids, families and individuals to have a safe place to connect, belong and thrive. As we look to re-open our facilities to the community, we know that the need for financial assistance is growing and the generosity of our community members is needed and appreciated more than ever. Please consider making a donation to Vecova at this time if you are able.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][nd_options_button nd_options_padding=”8px 12px” nd_options_align=”center” nd_options_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fvecova.ca%2Fget-involved%2Fdonate%2F|title:CLICK%20HERE%20TO%20DONATE||” nd_options_bg_color=”#4b4f54″ nd_options_text_color=”#ffffff” nd_options_border_radius=”20″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

We will re-open our Aquatics, Health and Fitness facilities in a phased approach that minimizes the spread of COVID-19 and maintains a healthy and safe environment for all.

Stay tuned for more information on Vecova’s entire relaunch strategy and timelines in the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
