Sign up for one of our registered Aquatics Fitness programs or stop by to enjoy one of our drop-in classes! Our gentle Aquatics Fitness programs are perfect for those who are just starting to get active or return to fitness after an injury, illness or new diagnosis. These classes will help promote your wellness while you have fun!

 

These programs are highly recommended for graduates of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Healthy Living Programs.

AQUA MOBILITY ALL LEVELS

The Vecova pool is a wonderful and warm 33 degrees Celsius! You are invited to join us for a gentle exercise program that uses the therapeutic benefits and natural resistance of the warm water to work on your flexibility and strength in a comfortable and supportive environment.This program is meant for you if you are new to fitness, or are experiencing a chronic condition, would like to work on your strength and flexibility, and enjoy a gentle and social water experience. Equipment such as pool noodles might be used and are optional, and you will be in the shallow end of the pool. There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. It’s totally fine to wear a shower or swim cap to cover your hair, and water shoes are suggested for sensitive feet.Aqua Mobility All Levels provides a gentle head to toe warmup and then introduces a variety of easy to follow gentle exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day. This program is relaxed and easy-going and has great music!Join Rebecca for an enjoyable 45 minutes of healthy movement!

AQUA MOBILITY LEVEL 3

The Vecova pool is a wonderful and warm 33 degrees Celsius! You are invited to join Louise for a gentle exercise program that uses the therapeutic benefits and natural resistance of the warm water to work on your flexibility and strength in a comfortable and supportive environment. Previous experience in Aqua Mobility Level 2 is recommended.

There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. It’s totally fine to wear a shower or swim cap to cover your hair, and water shoes are suggested for sensitive feet. ·
Aqua Mobility Level 3 provides a gentle head to toe warmup and then introduces a variety of easy to follow gentle exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day. This class is easy-going and has great music! ·

DEEP WATER WORKOUT (DWW) - DROP-IN

The Vecova pool is a wonderful and warm 33 degrees Celsius! You are invited to join a member of our amazing fitness team for an energizing class that uses the therapeutic benefits and natural resistance of the warm water for a total body workout. This class is for all levels of fitness to work on your strength and flexibility in a comfortable and supportive environment.A floatation belt is worn to provide a comfortable and buoyant experience and the belts come in a variety of sizes to accommodate very body. You will be in the deep end of the pool. There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. It’s totally fine to wear a shower or swim cap to cover your hair, and water shoes are suggested for sensitive feet.Deep Water Workout provides a head to toe warmup and then introduces a variety of easy to follow exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have or to add more challenge. Equipment such as pool noodles, water dumbbells and ankle resistance cuffs might be used and are optional. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day. Join us for an enjoyable 45 minutes of healthy movement!

SHALLOW WATER AQUAFIT - DROP-IN

The Vecova pool is a wonderful and warm 33 degrees Celsius! You are invited to join a member of our amazing fitness team for an enjoyable class that uses the therapeutic benefits and natural resistance of the warm water for a total body workout.
