Join Louise for a gentle strength and balance workout in your chair! This program is meant for you if you are new to fitness, or living with a chronic condition, or are pre or post operative for hips or knees, or have arthritis or bad shoulders. A chair is used to create a comfortable and safe environment while you work on your confidence and mobility.Each class will begin with a gentle head to toe warm up and introduces a variety of strengthening exercises that use optional hand weights, bands, balls and other equipment, and you will learn how to do each exercise safely with correct form. Hand grip strength will be included, and light stretching will end each class. Optional standing balance work holding onto the chair will be offered.Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day. Gentle Strength and Balance Level 1 is relaxed and easy-going and has great music! Join us for an enjoyable 45 minutes of healthy movement!
