Fall 2023 SwimAbilities program

SwimAbilities Program

SwimAbilities is a 4-level swimming program designed to break down swimming skills into small, manageable components with logical progressions that support opportunities for success.

This program is for children and youth that require additional support while in the water and when learning to swim. Swimmers will benefit from a slower-paced program that provides more visual support, one-on-one assistance, and personal modifications.

During lessons, swimmers must have a parent, caregiver or aide in the water to support a safe learning environment. Swimmers and their caregivers are assisted by the instructor as they learn to be safe and independent while enjoying the water.

This program is open to children with physical, mental and/or emotional exceptionalities.

Swimming lesson availability is subject to change based on staffing, classes will be adjusted accordingly. Additional swimming lesson offerings may be available closer to our registration date. Click here to view our online registration system for the most up-to-date information.

Fall 1 program registration begins on August 15 at 8:00 a.m.

Prior to the first day of lessons, participants will receive an email containing a questionnaire to fill out to give Instructor further information on each participant to aide in teaching techniques, ensure safety, and to help instructors understand the participants learning style. On the first day, participants will undergo a swim evaluation and will be placed in the level to match the child’s ability.
