YOGA for Backs

This mindful yoga practice will help you release any tension or strain that might be held in your muscles and will focus on developing strength in the upper & lower back, shoulders and hips. Each week will be a wonderful total body practice and will include relaxation and meditation options. Please bring a yoga mat and a yoga blanket/beach towel. If you are not comfortable sitting on the ground on a yoga mat please consider joining Gentle Chair Yoga on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.

Gentle Seated Yoga

Experience the benefits of yoga without getting down on the floor! This gentle program uses a chair to create an enjoyable and safe environment to work on your flexibility, balance and strength. Each class is personalized to your individual needs and takes special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Meditation and breath work will be introduced for relaxation and mindfulness. Optional standing positions will be introduced using the chair for support, and breathing exercises for relaxation and mindfulness will be practiced each week. Do as much or as little as you feel like and treat yourself to a rejuvenating Wednesday!
