Wayfinder
Welcome to Vecova’s Wayfinder Program!
At Vecova, we’re dedicated to fostering community inclusivity and supporting individuals with disabilities in leading fulfilling lives. Our Wayfinder program is tailored to help you explore, engage in leisure and recreational activities, participate in civic engagements, pursue educational interests, and develop meaningful relationships and support networks.
What We Offer:
Building Self-Determination: Empowering individuals to make informed decisions and have autonomy in their lives.
Leisure and Recreational Activities: Exploring and participating in various leisure and recreational pursuits to promote mental, physical and social well-being.
Civic Engagement: Encouraging active participation in community initiatives and events.
Pursuing Educational Interests: Facilitating access to educational opportunities and volunteer roles.
Developing Support Networks: Cultivating meaningful relationships and connections within the community.
Our Approach:
We understand that everyone’s journey is unique, which is why our support is personalized to align with your wishes, goals, and desires. Through our innovative assessment tool, EEDA (Explore, Experience, Decide, and Assess), we guide individuals through the following process:
- Explore: Understand your interests and map out relevant community activities.
- Experience: Plan and participate in various activities to broaden your experiences.
- Decide: Promote decision-making skills by exploring new activities and determining ongoing participation.
- Assess: Continuously evaluate interests, needs, barriers, and motivations for further exploration or continued participation.
