Sign up for one of our registered Aquatics Fitness programs or stop by to enjoy one of our drop-in classes! Our gentle Aquatics Fitness programs are perfect for those who are just starting to get active or return to fitness after an injury, illness or new diagnosis. These classes will help promote your wellness while you have fun!

These programs are highly recommended for graduates of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Healthy Living Programs.

NOTE: Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day.

Aqua Core is an energizing workout that combines the therapeutic benefits of the warm Vecova pool with strengthening for your abdominals, back, hips and legs. Challenge yourself with this motivating workout! Each week begins with a warmup in the deep end of the pool and offers a variety of easy to follow core exercises combined with endurance interval to increase your heart rate. Equipment might be used and is optional. A cooldown with stretching will take place in the shallow end of the pool. This is a self paced progressive workout with modifications provided to ensure that you receive a personal, safe and challenging time in the pool.


Aqua HIIT is an energizing workout that combines the therapeutic benefits of the warm Vecova pool with cardiovascular intervals and strengthening for your abdominals, back, hips and legs. Challenge yourself with this motivating workout!

Each week begins with a warmup and offers a variety of easy to follow core exercises combined with cardiovascular endurance intervals to increase your heart rate. Equipment might be used and is optional. A cooldown with stretching will end each class. This is a self paced progressive workout with modifications provided to ensure that you receive a personal, safe and challenging time in the pool.


Enjoy the therapeutic benefits of Vecova’s pool with the guidance of a Certified Water Rehabilitation Specialist. This gentle program is suitable for chronic conditions, pre and post surgery, limited range of motion, and a curiosity about the water therapy. No previous experience in the pool is required. There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. Vecova has 8 water wheelchairs that can be rolled down the ramp and used in the pool. It’s totally fine to wear a shower or swim cap to cover your hair, and water shoes are suggested for sensitive feet.

You are invited to join for a gentle exercise program that uses the therapeutic benefits and natural resistance of the warm water to work on your flexibility and strength in a comfortable and supportive environment.

This program is meant for you if you are new to fitness, or are experiencing a chronic condition, would like to work on your strength and flexibility, and enjoy a gentle and social water experience. Equipment such as pool noodles might be used and are optional, and you will be in the shallow end of the pool. There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. It’s totally fine to wear a shower or swim cap to cover your hair, and water shoes are suggested for sensitive feet.

Aqua Mobility All Levels provides a gentle head to toe warmup and then introduces a variety of easy to follow gentle exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day.

This program is relaxed and easy-going and has great music!Join us for an enjoyable 45 minutes of healthy movement!

This program is meant for you if you are new to fitness, are experiencing a chronic condition or enjoy a gentle and social water experience. This program is meant for you if you are experiencing a chronic condition, would like to work on your strength and flexibility and enjoy a gentle, or enjoy a social water experience. Equipment such as noodles and dumbbells are introduced and you will be in the shallow end of the pool. There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. It’s totally fine to wear a shower cap to cover your hair, and aqua slippers are suggested for sensitive feet.

Aqua Mobility Level 2 provides a gentle head to toe warmup and then introduces a variety of easy to follow gentle exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day.

This class is relaxed and easy-going and has great music! Join us for an enjoyable 45 minutes of healthy movement!


You are invited to join us for a progressive exercise program that uses the therapeutic benefits to work on your flexibility and strength in a comfortable and supportive environment.

Previous experience is suggested for this program.This program is meant for you if you are experiencing a chronic condition, would like to work on your strength and flexibility and enjoy a gentle workout, or enjoy a social water experience. Equipment such as noodles and dumbbells might be used and you will be in the shallow end of the pool. There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp.

Aqua Mobility Level 3 provides a gentle warmup and then introduces a variety of easy to follow gentle exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day.


You are invited to join a member of our amazing fitness team for an energizing class that uses the therapeutic benefits and natural resistance of warm water for a total body workout. This class is for all levels of fitness to work on your strength and flexibility in a comfortable and supportive environment.

A floatation belt is worn to provide a comfortable and buoyant experience and the belts come in a variety of sizes to accommodate very body. You will be in the deep end of the pool. There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. It’s totally fine to wear a shower or swim cap to cover your hair, and water shoes are suggested for sensitive feet.

Deep Water Workout provides a head to toe warmup and then introduces a variety of easy to follow exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have or to add more challenge. Equipment such as pool noodles, water dumbbells and ankle resistance weights might be used and are optional.

This class is for all fitness levels to work on your strength and flexibility in a comfortable and supportive environment.There are steps with a hand rail leading all the way into the pool or you can walk down the easy access ramp. Wearing a shower or swim cap to cover your hair is fine, and water shoes are suggested for sensitive feet. Shallow Water Workout provides a head-to-toe warmup and then introduces a variety of easy-to-follow exercises. Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have or to add more challenges. Equipment such as pool noodles, water dumbbells and ankle resistance weights might be used and are optional. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day.
