ADULT ADAPTED AQUATICS
Our Adult Adapted Aquatics program, designed specifically for Adults living with physical, cognitive, and/or emotional disabilities, who want to build water safety skills, improve swimming abilities, and have fun in a supportive environment. Tailored for adults who require additional support, this program offers a variety of exciting activities like Water Polo, Water Volleyball, Snorkeling, and working towards the ‘Swim to Survive’ certificate. With personalized instruction and a focus on inclusion, participants will enjoy engaging, low-pressure aquatic exercises that foster both learning and enjoyment.
Led by enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructors, this program not only enhances water safety and swimming skills but also encourages social interaction and teamwork in a lively group atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to refine your swimming techniques or simply enjoy a refreshing warm water activity, this program promises a rewarding experience for every participant!”
Please note: Each participant must be accompanied by a family member or caregiver in the pool to ensure safety and provide necessary support.

ADULT ADAPTED AQUATICS
What to Expect During Adult Adapted Aquatics:
1. Personalized Instruction: The instructors will divide time between participants, focusing on specific needs and providing one-on-one guidance as needed. Caregivers are encouraged to practice the skills instructors teach with their participant during the session.
2. Skill Development & Fun: Expect a combination of structured learning and enjoyable water activities! We will focus on enhancing water skills like floating, kicking, treading water, swimming strokes. The remainder of the class will be exploring aquatic games like Water Polo, Water Volleyball, Snorkeling, etc.
3. Active Caregiver Participation: At least 1 caregiver or family member must be prepared to get in the water with their participant every class. They’ll assist with activities and exercises, ensuring the participant stays engaged and safe during lessons.
4. Parental/Caregiver Involvement: Additional Caregivers or family members are encouraged to stay on the bleachers to assist with support, and help with learning. This will also ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding safety and skill progress.
5. Communication & Feedback: Instructors are available for questions and feedback after each session. This allows for ongoing communication to ensure that participants are progressing well and receiving the right support
NOTE: Participants are required to have an aide in the water with them for safety purposes. Lifejackets and/or Floatation Devices will be provided to all participants and aides.

Registration & Facility Guidelines
Registration occurs on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can register in person, by phone or online. All registrations must be paid in full at the time of registration.
