Vecova provides inclusive mental health services in Calgary for adults and youth with disabilities, their families, and support networks. Our programs focus on personal growth, skill building, coping strategies, and overall well-being. We offer individualized counselling, group sessions, arts-based therapies, behavioural planning, and caregiver support, all delivered by trained and registered mental health professionals.
We work with clients, families, and community partners to remove barriers to mental health support and provide services that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to diverse needs.

Mental Health Clinic
Vecova provides inclusive mental health services in Calgary for adults and youth with disabilities, their families, and support networks. Our services are delivered by registered psychologists, registered provisional psychologists, mental health counsellors, and an art therapist, offering evidence-based and trauma-informed care.
Through our Mental Health Clinic and group programs, we provide individual counselling, group counselling, behavioural planning, caregiver support, and arts-based therapy. Our clinicians are trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Art Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Family Systems Therapy.
We support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation challenges, relationship and family concerns, stress, and other mental health needs. Vecova works collaboratively with individuals, caregivers, and community partners to ensure mental health services are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to each person’s unique goals and circumstances.

Supervision of Graduate Practicum Students
Supporting the next generation of mental health professionals through supervision, mentorship, and practical experience in working with diverse populations.
Dementia Caregiver Group
Supportive talk therapy sessions for caregivers providing care to individuals with dementia, focusing on coping strategies, self-care, and community resources.
Creative Coping Skills
Vecova offers an 8-week, in-person Creative Coping Group for youth and adults with PDD funding. Participants explore emotions and self-expression through art, while learning practical coping skills and self-care strategies to manage stress and build emotional resilience.

Accessing Services
- PDD-funded clients: Referred through their Disability Caseworker.
- Non-PDD clients: Access counselling through Community Connect YYC if they are a person with a disability, a caregiver, or someone with trauma impacting daily life.
