The heart of our community.

Vecova is based in Calgary, Aberta Canada and our centres are located on the traditional territories of First Nations Peoples of Treaty 7. The Treaty 7 Lands in Southern Alberta are home to the Kainai Nation, Piikani Nation, Siksika Nation, Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Bearspaw, Chiniki and Wesley (Stoney-Nakoda) Nations. Calgary is also home to Region 3 of the Métis Nation of Alberta.

Main Centre

Built in the late 1960s, our main centre has been evolving ever since. Our main centre is home to our aquatics, health and fitness facilities, our recycling facilities, our social research and innovation spaces, our extensive programs and services for our consumers and our support services for our employees.

 

Located in Calgary’s northwest, Vecova occupies 7 acres in University Research Park. University Research Park is a partnership between Vecova, the University of Calgary, the City of Calgary and the Province of Alberta. University Research Park is where research excellence drive innovation and economic diversification.

SERVING CALGARY'S SURROUNDING AREAS

Satellite Centres

The reach of Vecova extends across the City of Calgary with partnership locations with other organizations, and beyond into the Bighorn Municipal District, Rocky View County Municipal District and Banff National Park. Our satellite office in Canmore coordinates our programs and services for our consumers within the Bighorn Municipal and Banff National Park districts.
