We are so grateful to the over 80 runner/walkers and volunteers who joined us on Sunday, June 26th in Edworthy Park for a 5K Run and Walk supporting people with disabilities.
The day began with a few spots of rain, but tapered off in time for our intrepid group of runners/walkers, kids and dogs to head over to the start line. Our furry participants where especially excited to have a cheering section from the Calgary PADS team. PADS breeds, raises, trains and supports certified assistance dogs.
Our dedicated volunteers helped direct runners/walkers along the route, assisted with pre-race organizing and helped collect raffle prize draw tickets.
The post-race was celebrated with snacks and refreshments, and X92.9 radio’s summer cruiser.
Thank you to our many Donors, Sponsors and Participants.
A special thanks to our partners at tributesgroup.com for designing and donating custom medals for all our participants. We would also like to acknowledge the support of the Running Room – Calgary for joining as we demonstrated the impact of our vision and promoted inclusion in our community.
